SUMMARY
Dr. Nisha Talagala is a leader in academia organizing top research conferences in AI and also writes about AI in Forbes and other publications. She has an 11-year-old daughter. She is the founder of AIClub. She is a world-renowned computer scientist and an expert in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Prior to AIClub, she founded an AI startup that helped banks and other large corporations build AIs, which was successfully acquired. AIClub started with her efforts to share this technology with her daughter. She found that no other programs are able to make it easy and fun for kids to learn and practice real AI, so, with colleagues, AIClub was born to make AI accessible to kids and individuals worldwide.

She just started working on something new (and wickedly awesome). Previously, she co-founded ParallelM and defined MLOps (Production Machine Learning and Deep Learning). She co-created the first industry/academic conference for MLOps - USENIX OpML (Operational ML) in 2019, and she is the co-chair for OpML 2020. She writes for online publications including Forbes and is a TEDx speaker.

Her background is in distributed software, systems, and applications. Prior to PM, she was Lead Architect/Fellow at Fusion-io (acquired by SanDisk), developing new technologies and software stacks for persistent memory, Non-Volatile Memory File System (NVMFS), and application acceleration. Before Fusion-io, she was the technology lead for server flash at Intel - heading up server platform non-volatile memory technology development and partnerships and foundational work on NVM Express. Before that, she was Chief Technology Officer at Gear6, where they built clustered computing caches for high-performance I/O environments.

She holds 73 patents in distributed systems, networking, storage, performance, key-value stores, persistent memory, and memory hierarchy optimization. She is also currently serving on the steering committees of both USENIX OpML and USENIX HotStorage as well as the Technovation Steering Committee for America.
