WomenOfAI.org AI Summit 2020

On Saturday May 30, our partners at WomenOfAI.org will be hosting their first annual “AI Summit” online.

Registration is online at Eventbrite. WomenOfAI.org is a global nonprofit providing technical and leadership development programs to 10,000 members since 2018.

Registration at Register at Eventbrite.

Tickets are $50 general admission, $25 for the hiring manager “meet-n-greet” and $60 for both tickets (25% off).

WomenOfAI.org aims to create accessible, low cost programs differing from industry standards where AI Summits often cost $1000+ to attend.

All proceeds will benefit the public, donation-based charity founded by Erica Lee, a Director of Machine Learning Engineering at Zillow, who started the organization at Apple Park where she formerly worked.

Speakers from Google TensorFlow, Intel Corporation, Andreessen Horowitz, Zillow, Salesforce, Samsung NEXT, XOKind, Lean In, and Women In Product will meet virtually to discuss trending topics in artificial intelligence, and initiatives around diversity and inclusion in the field. Anyone who works in AI, is interested in learning about  AI, and/or is curious about diversity programs in the field is encouraged to attend.

The AI Summit 2020 will cover many of today’s trending topics in artificial intelligence:

  • Diversity in AI: Why does it matter and how do we get there?

  • AI for Social Good: Initiatives on AI for Social Welfare

  • User-Focused AI: How to create a utilitarian user experience

  • Creative Side of AI: Intersection of AI - Storytelling and Moviemaking

  • Agile Data Science at Scale: Building agile data science platform to scale

  • Real-World Applications for AI: How it’s being used now & how it will be used

  • Unconscious Algorithm Bias: What it looks like and what it implies

The WomenOfAI.org Summit will also include an optional, a la carte program focused on job seekers called “Hiring Manager Meet-N-Greet.” This session will have several AI hiring managers give a brief informational talk on their team, open roles & interview tips, alongside  Q&A.
