Cognitive World launches “Diversity of Tech’ initiative w/ special guest, Shruti Rao

Cognitive World is participating in a Diversity Of Tech initiative to support minority groups across all fields of technology to give equal access of career and business opportunities for everyone, regardless of race, gender, or ethnicity. Cognitive World is proud to support minorities in tech, and diversity and inclusion in the industry.

As part of this initiative, Cognitive World is excited to highlight key voices from the community. We are honored to invite Shruthi Rao, an immigrant, mother to a 5-year-old, as well as the founder of a startup - Vendia. 

"I first connected with Shruthi in 2017 when she was at Amazon and I have always been fascinated by her executive presence as a fellow Indian female founder," says Aakriti "Aku" Srikanth, Cognitive World's co-founder.

During a time when many startups have been struggling due to COVID-19, Shruthi decided to leave her prestigious and highly visible role at AWS to launch Vendia with co-founder Tim Wagner,who invented the Serverless movement, founded and was former GM for AWS Lambda and was formerly VP of Engineering at Coinbase.

Vendia will help customers leverage business data across companies, departments, and clouds, in real-time to help increase the return on investment (ROI) of their AI/ML and analytics investments. Vendia is set to launch at the AWS Serverless Community Day on June 26th.
